Dentist: Aspen Dental

I grew up in Conifer, where there was one dentist, and he was a real asshat. So when I would tell people that I didn't like going to the dentist, they assumed I was scared of it. I'm not scared of the dentist at all, I just hated the guy. So I went almost 10 years without going to the dentist, because I assumed they were all like him.

They are not all like him. Everyone here was so nice and kind of ridiculously friendly. When I called they asked "Who do I have the pleasure of speaking with today?" They texted and called me several times to remind me of my appointment. They called me the day of to tell me I could come in EARLY if I wanted. WHAT?

The office is very nice and soothing. They have TVs in the rooms so you can watch Food Network while you're having your teeth cleaned. The hygienist explains what she's doing in a way that I actually know why they're stabbing my gum and yelling out numbers. They told me what I was doing well and what could be improved without making me feel like the worst person on the planet.

Basically, they completely changed my mind about dentists' offices, and I'll keep going back as long as I live here. The ONLY negative is that they also spend a lot of the visit trying to sell you on "optional" services, but it's not a hard sell, and it is nice to know what all they offer.
